A Message from the Founder

My healing journey, my spiritual journey, my entrepreneurial journey, and my motherhood journey all began because I decided to embark on an epic adventure that took me around the globe. When others told me I was crazy, I got on that plane anyway. The mission of Epic Adventures Travel Company is to help others experience life-changing moments through travel.”

Jamie is a California native who grew up dreaming about faraway places. When she couldn’t find anyone to join her on these worldly adventures, she began traveling by herself. Jamie has taken solo trips around the world, which has led to life-long friendships with both locals and fellow travelers.
Jamie has a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in Hellenic Studies. She graduated summa cum laude and was accepted into a master’s program. After her first year of graduate school, she began questioning whether or not a career in academia was the right path. She felt a deep pull to travel for an extended period of time. In January of 2020, Jamie decided to take a break from her studies so she could explore the world for a year. Well, we all know what happened in 2020! Instead of globe trekking, Jamie moved to Mexico with her beloved dog, Randi. They spent two years in Playa del Carmen and one year in Puebla. During their time in the Riviera Maya, Randi became a local fixture on the famous 5th Avenue and enjoyed homemade tortillas every day. It was an incredibly life-changing experience for Jamie, as that move led to the creation of her travel agency and the birth of her daughter, Milagros.
Jamie’s experience is extensive, as she has worked in almost every facet of the travel industry. Her career began as an executive assistant who was in charge of arranging corporate travel. She was then offered a position with a luxury travel company that specializes in Ireland, Scotland, and England. After she moved to Mexico, she was recruited as the Mexico specialist for an esteemed travel agency. Jamie built an extensive network of travel professionals in the Riviera Maya. Those connections began to intersect with the wedding industry, so she decided to become an expert in destination weddings and group travel.
The travel agency Jamie worked for did not represent her offerings, so she created Epic Adventures Travel Company in order to showcase her unique niche!
Jamie’s greatest joy in life is her beautiful daughter, who already has an adventurous soul at a young age. She is passionate about travel, of course, and cannot wait to show Mila this incredible world. Jamie is happiest when she’s in or on the water. She loves to scuba dive, free dive, surf, wakeboard, and swim. She feels peace when she’s on a boat of any kind, whether it’s a yacht or a small fishing vessel. Jamie also has a strong kundalini and breathwork practice, which keeps her grounded in life.
